👥Biography 个人简介

Miriam Merad has transformed understanding of tumor-associated macrophage biology by revealing that TAMs comprise ontogenically distinct populations with different functions in the tumor microenvironment, including tissue-resident macrophages and monocyte-derived macrophages with opposing roles in tumor immunity. Her single-cell analyses have mapped the diversity of myeloid cell states in human tumors. She has been instrumental in developing macrophage reprogramming strategies for cancer immunotherapy. Her work provides the biological foundation for rationally targeting TAMs in cancer.
