👥Biography 个人简介

Mikael Pittet studies how tumor-derived extracellular vesicles modulate immune cells to create an immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. His research demonstrated that exosomes carrying PD-L1 can suppress T cell activity at distant sites, representing a mechanism of systemic immune evasion. He has identified how tumor exosomes reprogram myeloid cells to support cancer progression. His work has implications for improving immunotherapy responses by targeting exosomal immune suppression.
