👥Biography 个人简介

Mikael Pittet has applied single-cell genomics to map CAF heterogeneity and functional subtypes in cancer, revealing distinct populations with opposing functions. His work characterized myofibroblastic CAFs (myCAFs) and inflammatory CAFs (iCAFs) as functionally distinct subtypes with different roles in tumor architecture and immune modulation. He demonstrated that CAF subtype composition correlates with immunotherapy response and patient prognosis. His spatial and single-cell profiling approaches have transformed understanding of stromal complexity in solid tumors.
