Michael Seckl at Charing Cross has been a leading authority on gestational trophoblastic disease (GTD) — including choriocarcinoma, one of the most chemotherapy-sensitive and potentially curable of all cancers even in metastatic disease. The Charing Cross center has the world's longest experience with GTD treatment and has contributed to establishing the EMA-CO chemotherapy regimen and hCG monitoring protocols that enable >98% cure rates in choriocarcinoma.
