👥Biography 个人简介

Michael Bhatt studies the biology of Reed-Sternberg cells, the malignant cells of Hodgkin lymphoma, and their complex interactions with the surrounding reactive immune infiltrate. His research characterized how Reed-Sternberg cells manipulate the tumor microenvironment through cytokine secretion and PD-L1 expression. He has also studied the role of Epstein-Barr virus in Hodgkin lymphoma pathogenesis and viral antigen targeting as a therapeutic approach. His basic science contributions inform understanding of why Hodgkin lymphoma responds uniquely to immunotherapy.
