Matthew Meyerson has led systematic cancer genome characterization efforts that have identified critical oncogenic drivers including the EML4-ALK fusion in lung cancer, developing the computational and experimental frameworks for discovering actionable genomic alterations across cancer types. His research at Dana-Farber and the Broad Institute has established methods for integrating genomic, transcriptomic, and functional data to identify cancer dependencies and has contributed to the Cancer Cell Line Encyclopedia and Cancer Dependency Map projects. His work has directly led to the development of targeted therapies used in clinical practice today.
