Ruben Mesa

Ruben Mesa leads the Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute, where he has championed diversity in cancer clinical trials with particular focus on Hispanic and Latino populations. His research in myeloproliferative neoplasms has included deliberate efforts to enroll diverse patient populations, serving as a model for other disease-specific trials. His leadership in establishing community partnerships to improve trial access for underserved populations has advanced the trial diversity agenda nationally.
