👥Biography 个人简介
Meagan Bhatt specializes in aplastic anemia and other bone marrow failure syndromes, investigating immune-mediated mechanisms of marrow destruction and optimizing treatment strategies for patients without a matched sibling donor. Her research has contributed to establishing horse antithymocyte globulin plus cyclosporine as the standard non-transplant treatment for severe aplastic anemia and characterizing the addition of eltrombopag as a strategy to improve response rates and depth of response. She has studied the pathogenesis of clonal evolution in aplastic anemia including emergence of PNH clones, monosomy 7, and MDS transformation, and its impact on long-term outcomes and treatment decisions. Her clinical research has informed contemporary management algorithms for severe aplastic anemia balancing immunosuppressive therapy versus allogeneic transplantation.
