Matthew Powell is a gynecologic oncologist who leads clinical trial development through the NRG Oncology/GOG framework and has contributed to studies evaluating pembrolizumab and other checkpoint inhibitors in vulvar squamous cell carcinoma. He has participated in chemoradiation trials for locally advanced vulvar cancer using cisplatin-based sensitizing regimens and has contributed to biomarker analyses examining PD-L1 expression and HPV status as predictors of immunotherapy response in vulvar cancer. He chairs multiple NRG gynecologic oncology committees.
