Matthew Ellis is a breast cancer researcher and oncologist who co-led the CPTAC breast cancer proteogenomics study generating comprehensive multi-omics characterization of breast tumors. He has contributed to understanding the molecular landscape of luminal breast cancer and the role of ESR1 mutations in endocrine therapy resistance. His laboratory integrates genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics to understand breast cancer biology at unprecedented depth. He was also involved in the landmark TCGA breast cancer analysis. His translational work connects proteogenomics discoveries with patient care and drug development.
