Matteo Lambertini

Matteo Lambertini is an oncologist specializing in breast cancer in young women and has investigated the prevalence and clinical characteristics of HER2-low disease in premenopausal patients, a population that may require tailored approaches due to fertility concerns and different tumor biology. He is an international expert in fertility preservation for cancer patients and has studied interactions between gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonists and systemic therapy in HER2-low breast cancer. He serves on multiple ESMO and EORTC task forces on young women and breast cancer.
