Dimitris Mathios
PhD
Assistant Professor of Oncology
👥Biography 个人简介
Dimitris Mathios has been instrumental in developing the DELFI (DNA evaluation of fragments for early interception) approach that analyzes genome-wide cfDNA fragmentation patterns for multi-cancer detection. His research demonstrated that cancer-specific alterations in nucleosome positioning create detectable fragmentation signatures in plasma. His work on integrating fragment size ratios with machine learning classifiers has achieved high sensitivity for early-stage cancer detection across multiple tumor types.
