Masayuki Noguchi

Masayuki Noguchi at the University of Tsukuba is a pathologist who made important contributions to the histological classification of lung adenocarcinoma, proposing a classification system for early-stage bronchioloalveolar carcinoma that influenced the IASLC/ATS/ERS 2011 classification and the subsequent WHO classification of lung adenocarcinoma subtypes. His pathological classification work established the concept of lepidic-predominant adenocarcinoma with excellent prognosis.
