Martine Piccart

Martine Piccart led the HERA trial establishing one year of adjuvant trastuzumab as a global standard of care for HER2-positive early breast cancer, and contributed to the SOFT/TEXT trials examining adjuvant ovarian function suppression for premenopausal breast cancer. Her leadership of BIG (Breast International Group) has facilitated global collaborative trials representing the largest collection of breast cancer clinical evidence. She subsequently led the MONALEESA-7 trial demonstrating ribociclib survival benefit in premenopausal advanced breast cancer. Piccart has received numerous distinguished awards for her transformative contributions to breast cancer clinical research.
