Martin Pomper at Hopkins developed DCFPyL — a second-generation PSMA-targeted PET imaging agent with improved tumor-to-background ratios — that received FDA approval as piflufolastat F18 for PSMA PET/CT staging of prostate cancer. His work in small molecule radiotracer development for cancer imaging has contributed to the PSMA theranostics revolution.
