Dr. Mark Dudley developed the rapid expansion protocol (REP) for TIL manufacturing at the NCI's Surgery Branch, a landmark contribution that enabled large-scale ex vivo expansion of T cells for adoptive therapy. His work established the manufacturing framework that underpins current commercial TIL products. He subsequently transitioned to Iovance Biotherapeutics to apply these insights to commercial-scale GMP TIL manufacturing.
