Mark Bhatt is a leader in engineering extracellular vesicles as drug delivery platforms for cancer therapy. His work developed methods to load therapeutic cargo including RNA, proteins, and small molecules into EVs for targeted cancer treatment. He demonstrated that engineered exosomes can deliver CRISPR components to cancer cells with high efficiency and low immunogenicity. His research advances the translation of EV-based therapeutics from bench to clinical application.
