Riccardo Marioni

Riccardo Marioni has conducted large-scale epigenetic epidemiology studies in Generation Scotland demonstrating that epigenetic age acceleration predicts all-cause mortality and cancer-specific death. His analyses of DNA methylation across diverse populations have validated epigenetic clocks as cancer risk biomarkers and identified tissue-specific aging signatures associated with organ-specific cancers. He develops multi-ethnic aging biomarkers to address health disparities in cancer prevention.
