Marina Antoch

Marina Antoch has been a leader in understanding how circadian rhythms regulate anti-tumor immune responses and how this knowledge can optimize cancer immunotherapy timing. Her research demonstrated that immune cell trafficking, cytokine production, and checkpoint molecule expression oscillate with circadian periodicity, creating time-dependent windows of maximal immunotherapy efficacy. She showed that circadian disruption impairs anti-tumor immunity by desynchronizing innate and adaptive immune responses. Her preclinical work on timed administration of checkpoint inhibitors has shown significant differences in efficacy based on circadian phase, informing the emerging field of chrono-immunotherapy.
