Dr. Marie-Catherine Vozenin is the pioneering scientist who published the landmark 2019 paper establishing the FLASH effect in vivo and conducted the first compassionate-use FLASH treatment in a human patient. Her research has defined the biological mechanisms by which FLASH radiotherapy spares normal tissues, including roles for oxygen depletion and immune modulation. She is a leading voice in translating FLASH into clinical practice.
