Marc Pocard

Marc Pocard is a surgical oncologist who has been a leading researcher in the development and clinical evaluation of PIPAC (pressurized intraperitoneal aerosol chemotherapy), a minimally invasive laparoscopic technique that delivers nebulized chemotherapy into the peritoneal cavity at high pressure to improve drug penetration. He has conducted prospective PIPAC studies in patients with unresectable peritoneal metastases from gastric, colorectal, and ovarian cancers, and has defined response criteria specific to the PIPAC setting. His work has helped establish PIPAC as a palliative option for patients not suitable for CRS-HIPEC.
