Marc Arbyn

Marc Arbyn is an internationally recognized authority on HPV-based cervical cancer screening and has led major meta-analyses evaluating the accuracy of HPV testing versus cytology-based screening. His systematic reviews have informed European and WHO guidelines on primary HPV testing as the preferred cervical cancer screening strategy. He coordinated the European Research Organisation on Genital Infection and Neoplasia (EUROGIN) and contributed to numerous consensus conferences on cervical cancer screening protocols. His evidence synthesis work has had direct impact on national screening program design globally.
