Manuel Hidalgo is a world-leading expert in pancreatic cancer whose translational research has advanced systemic treatment strategies for this lethal malignancy. He conducted seminal studies on FOLFIRINOX and nab-paclitaxel combinations, establishing them as standards of care for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. His patient-derived pancreatic tumor organoid models have enabled personalized drug testing to guide treatment decisions.
