Muthiah Manoharan developed GalNAc-siRNA conjugate chemistry that enabled subcutaneous delivery of siRNA to the liver and underpinned multiple approved Alnylam drugs. His work is foundational to the delivery of RNA therapeutics for cancer and metabolic disease. He is a leader in oligonucleotide chemistry.
