Manish Shah leads gastric cancer research at Weill Cornell and has contributed to molecular subtyping of gastric cancer through The Cancer Genome Atlas collaboration, identifying EBV, MSI-H, chromosomally unstable, and genomically stable subtypes with distinct therapeutic implications including for adjuvant therapy. His clinical trials program at Weill Cornell examines immunotherapy-based perioperative and adjuvant approaches in gastric cancer. He has led SWOG gastric cancer trials and contributed to ASCO guidelines. Shah is recognized for integrating molecular tumor classification into practical adjuvant treatment algorithms for gastric cancer.
