Crystal Mackall

Crystal Mackall has made seminal contributions to understanding T cell exhaustion and its impact on CAR-T cell efficacy in pediatric cancers, leading to engineered approaches that overcome this barrier. Her translational research program has advanced multiple immunotherapy platforms from laboratory to clinical trials for pediatric sarcomas and other solid tumors. She directs the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy at Stanford with a focus on bringing cutting-edge immunotherapies to children.
