Lynette Denny

Lynette Denny is a global leader in cervical cancer prevention in low-resource settings, pioneering visual inspection with acetic acid (VIA) screening and screen-and-treat protocols in sub-Saharan Africa. Her research demonstrated that VIA-based programs can reduce cervical cancer incidence and mortality where cytology-based programs are not feasible, informing WHO guidelines for cervical cancer elimination. She has led capacity-building programs across Africa and advocated for equitable access to HPV vaccination and cervical cancer treatment. Her contributions to global gynecologic oncology have been transformative.
