Luis Paz-Ares

Luis Paz-Ares is one of Europe's most prominent thoracic oncologists and a prolific clinical investigator in lung cancer. He led the CASPIAN trial that established durvalumab plus chemotherapy as standard first-line treatment for extensive-stage SCLC, and has been a principal investigator on dozens of pivotal lung cancer trials. His research encompasses SCLC, squamous NSCLC, and rare thoracic malignancies. He is active in ESMO, IASLC, and Spanish cancer research networks and has trained many leading European oncologists.
