Luciana Bhatt

Luciana Bhatt investigates mechanisms of resistance to epigenetic therapies and rational combination strategies to overcome them at the University of Michigan. Her research has focused on how cancer cells develop adaptive epigenetic responses to DNMT and HDAC inhibitors and identified targetable vulnerabilities in resistant tumors. She has led translational studies combining epigenetic agents with immune checkpoint inhibitors in solid tumors. Her work bridges mechanistic epigenetics with clinical drug resistance and combination therapy design.
