Karen Lu

Karen Lu has extensive expertise in ovarian and gynecologic cancer screening and has evaluated the performance of multi-cancer early detection tests for detecting cancers that currently lack effective screening methods. Her work demonstrated that MCED testing detects ovarian, endometrial, and other gynecologic cancers at earlier stages than symptomatic presentation, potentially addressing a critical unmet need. Her research on integrating MCED blood tests with genetic risk assessment for hereditary cancer syndromes has enabled risk-stratified screening approaches.
