Louis DeGennaro leads the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) — one of the largest non-profit cancer research funding organizations in the world, having invested over $1.8 billion in research. LLS advocacy contributed to accelerated drug approvals for hematologic malignancies, has improved patient access to clinical trials and novel therapies, and has supported hundreds of researchers who made foundational contributions to blood cancer biology and treatment.
