👥Biography 个人简介

Miguel Lopez-Botet characterized the CD94/NKG2 receptor family and their recognition of the non-classical HLA-E molecule, revealing a conserved mechanism by which NK cells monitor overall MHC class I expression on target cells. His discovery of CMV-driven adaptive NK cell expansions with unique receptor profiles demonstrated that innate lymphocytes can develop memory-like properties relevant to anti-tumor immunity. His work on NKG2C-positive adaptive NK cells in CMV-seropositive individuals has informed strategies for harnessing these potent effector cells against cancer.
