👥Biography 个人简介

Lisa Coussens is a preeminent researcher in cancer-associated inflammation and stromal biology, with particular expertise in how myeloid cells and fibroblasts create pro-tumorigenic microenvironments. Her laboratory has dissected the molecular mechanisms by which inflammatory myeloid cells in the stroma suppress anti-tumor immunity and promote tumor growth, invasion, and metastasis. She identified mast cells, macrophages, and neutrophils as stromal orchestrators of cancer progression. Her translational work informs strategies to reprogram the inflammatory tumor stroma.
