👥Biography 个人简介

Lisa Bhatt studies myeloid-derived suppressor cells and other myeloid immunosuppressive populations that accumulate in tumors and peripheral blood of cancer patients. Her research has characterized the multiple mechanisms by which MDSCs suppress T cell and NK cell activity including through arginase, iNOS, IDO, and TGF-beta. She has developed strategies to deplete MDSCs or reprogram them into immunostimulatory myeloid cells. Her work has provided critical insights into how to overcome myeloid immunosuppression to improve cancer immunotherapy efficacy.
