👥Biography 个人简介
Dr. Leland Hartwell received the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2001 for discoveries relating to key regulators of the cell cycle. His identification of CDC genes controlling cell division checkpoints in yeast provided the foundational framework for understanding how cancer cells bypass cell cycle controls. His checkpoint biology discoveries directly informed the development of CDK inhibitors now widely used in breast and other cancers.
