Laurence Zitvogel
MD, PhD
Director of Research, INSERM U1015; Head, Department of Immunology
👥Biography 个人简介
Laurence Zitvogel is a pioneer of tumor immunology whose research identified specific gut microbiome compositions (particularly Akkermansia muciniphila enrichment) as predictors of checkpoint inhibitor response, and led the first fecal microbiota transplantation trials to modulate IO response. Her laboratory discovered immunogenic cell death pathways triggered by specific chemotherapies that synergize with immunotherapy. She has fundamentally advanced understanding of how the gut microbiome modulates systemic immunity and IO efficacy. Zitvogel's contributions span basic immunology to clinical translation of microbiome-IO interactions.
