Eric Lander
PhD
Professor of Biology
👥Biography 个人简介
Eric Lander was a leader of the Human Genome Project and founding director of the Broad Institute, creating the genomic infrastructure and institutional framework that enabled the systematic cataloguing of cancer genomes through TCGA and related projects, which in turn revealed the full complexity of cancer genome evolution across human cancer types. His vision of applying large-scale genomics to cancer has produced the comprehensive mutational catalogues and computational tools that underpin modern cancer evolution research. His contributions to building the institutions, technologies, and analytical frameworks for cancer genomics have been foundational for the entire field.
