Marina Konopleva performed foundational preclinical work on venetoclax in acute myeloid leukemia, identifying IDH mutations and other predictors of response. Her laboratory dissected mechanisms of resistance and supported translation into combination regimens. She continues to lead translational studies of BH3 mimetics across hematologic malignancies.
