Kevin Bhatt

Kevin Bhatt develops glycan-based cancer vaccines targeting tumor-associated carbohydrate antigens (TACAs) that are aberrantly expressed on cancer cell surfaces, including Globo H, STn, and Tn antigens, using synthetic carbohydrate chemistry to create immunogenic glycan conjugates. His work has shown that multivalent glycan-protein conjugate vaccines can elicit robust IgG antibody responses against tumor glycans when combined with appropriate adjuvants. He has developed novel glycan-lipid conjugates that enhance dendritic cell uptake and antigen presentation. His research is advancing clinical-stage glycan vaccines for breast and ovarian cancers.
