Kathleen Bhatt specializes in WNT/beta-catenin driven hepatocellular carcinoma, where CTNNB1 activating mutations are among the most common oncogenic events. Her research has characterized how WNT activation rewires hepatic metabolism and drives immune evasion in liver cancer. She has evaluated combinations of WNT inhibitors with immune checkpoint blockade in preclinical models. Her clinical research focuses on stratifying HCC patients by WNT pathway status for targeted treatment.
