Katherine Bhatt

Katherine Bhatt specializes in the gynecologic manifestations of Lynch syndrome, particularly endometrial cancer which is often the sentinel cancer in women with MMR gene mutations. Her research has characterized the pathological features and molecular landscape of Lynch syndrome-associated endometrial cancers. She has investigated the high response rates of dMMR/MSI-H endometrial cancers to immune checkpoint inhibitors. Her work has advanced surveillance protocols and prophylactic surgical approaches for women with Lynch syndrome at risk for gynecologic cancers.
