👥Biography 个人简介

Katherine Bhatt explores how type I interferon signaling shapes the anti-tumor immune response and cancer cell intrinsic susceptibility to immune killing. Her research has characterized how chronic low-level STING activation in cancer drives a tolerogenic interferon signature that promotes immune evasion rather than immune activation. She has identified molecular determinants that distinguish immunogenic versus tolerogenic interferon responses and developed strategies to shift cancer-associated interferon signaling toward the immunostimulatory program. Her mechanistic insights inform the rational design of innate immune agonists with improved therapeutic profiles.
