Dr. Kam Leong is a biomedical engineering pioneer who has made foundational contributions to polymer-based gene delivery and nanoparticle immune modulation for cancer. His laboratory developed polyplex nanoparticle systems for cancer gene therapy and pioneered CpG-loaded nanoparticle adjuvants that potently activate anti-tumor immune responses. His work spans cancer vaccines, immunotherapy, and targeted drug delivery.
