Julie Bhatt
MD
Professor of Breast Oncology
👥Biography 个人简介
Julie Bhatt has contributed to understanding long-term outcomes and toxicity management for postmenopausal women receiving aromatase inhibitor adjuvant therapy for hormone receptor-positive early breast cancer. Her research has examined musculoskeletal toxicities including arthralgias and bone density loss that represent the primary side effects limiting aromatase inhibitor adherence in postmenopausal women with early HR+ breast cancer. She has studied extended adjuvant aromatase inhibitor strategies beyond 5 years and biomarkers predicting benefit from extended endocrine therapy including clinical risk factors and multigene expression scores. Her clinical research has informed patient selection for adjuvant endocrine therapy intensification versus de-escalation in early HR+ breast cancer based on recurrence risk estimation.
