Julia Bonnelykke-Behrndtz

Julia Bonnelykke-Behrndtz is a gynecologic oncologist and radiation oncology researcher who has published prospective outcomes data for vaginal cancer treated with combined cisplatin-based chemoradiation and intracavitary or interstitial brachytherapy. Vaginal primary carcinoma is one of the rarest gynecologic cancers, and most treatment protocols extrapolate from cervical cancer data. Her studies on dose optimization in vaginal brachytherapy and factors predicting local control have contributed to the limited evidence base for this rare malignancy. She participates in European EMBRACE brachytherapy collaboratives.
