👥Biography 个人简介

Jos Jonkers developed foundational conditional mouse models for BRCA1 and BRCA2 deficiency that faithfully recapitulate human BRCA-associated breast and ovarian cancers. Using these models, he demonstrated differential sensitivity to PARP inhibitors and platinums, elucidated resistance mechanisms including 53BP1 loss and BRCA reversion, and characterized how homologous recombination repair status determines drug sensitivity. His models have been widely used to test DDR-targeting combination strategies. He has collaborated extensively with clinical investigators to validate biomarkers of HR deficiency in patient cohorts.
