Jordi Rodon at MD Anderson and previously at Vall d'Hebron has been a leading figure in precision oncology clinical trials, particularly in how genomic profiling can guide phase I trial enrollment. He led the SHIVA trial — a pioneering randomized trial testing the hypothesis that molecularly matched therapy selected by molecular profiling improves outcomes over physician's choice — which yielded informative results about the complexity of precision oncology.
