Jordi Bruix

Jordi Bruix is the principal architect of the Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer (BCLC) staging system, the most widely used staging and treatment algorithm for hepatocellular carcinoma globally. He led the clinical trials establishing sorafenib and regorafenib as standard systemic therapies in advanced HCC and has contributed to locoregional therapy evidence base. His group has refined prognostic factors and treatment selection criteria across all BCLC stages. He is one of the most cited hepatologists in the world and has received numerous international awards for his contributions to liver cancer management.
