Daniel Jones has advanced robotic bariatric surgical techniques and contributed to understanding the mechanisms by which gastric bypass produces metabolic changes that may reduce cancer risk, including alterations in gut hormones, bile acid metabolism, and inflammatory markers. His research on post-bariatric metabolic changes has identified biomarker trajectories that correlate with cancer risk reduction. He trains the next generation of bariatric surgeons in techniques optimized for long-term metabolic and oncologic outcomes.
