John Goldman (1938-2013) was a legendary British hematologist who established the Hammersmith Hospital as the world reference center for CML treatment and allogeneic stem cell transplantation. His decades of work on CML natural history, the graft-versus-leukemia effect, and the transition from transplant to tyrosine kinase inhibitor therapy created the clinical framework still used today. He was the driving force behind international CML registries and collaborative research.
